Why do we have to take tests?

Dear people,


I would like to say that tests are not a good tool to show how much a student knows about the subject or subjects. Not all students are really good at tests and some students have test anxiety and just freeze on tests. While other students are able to take test but they don't really study or they really never had work for their score. I'm not saying that the students that are able to take tests are bad people, but come on to others it's not very fair. Most of the teachers that have have been with or have know always score the tests really high so students that struggle on test taking fail the tests and lower their grade. Come on teachers it not all that fair and we need to learn what we can do to have the students know the material but yet don't pressure them over tests.


From personal experience, I can not take tests if my life depended on it and it kills my grade every time. I study for those suckers for hours and I can never pass those stupid thing and it bugs me to death. But I do know the material and can remember it for a long time I just can't take tests to prove my self. For me that is an act of ignorance and the tests need to stop or changed to help students not tare them down. So my people what do you think about testing, does it affect you in a sour way or does it help you, (why)?
